Monkey virus karnataka symptoms

● SYMPTOMS OF FEVER

Initial symptoms including headache, fever, severe muscle pain, gastrointestinal problems, vomiting and bleeding 

Some patients may experience low blood pressure ,low platelets and WBC's etc....

After 1-2 weeks of initial symptoms they face a second wave characterised by fever. Mental disturbances and vision deficts. 

Prevention from monkey virus:-

●Vaccine is available in india

● maintenance of proper hygiene 

●wearing protective clothing in thick infested area

● avoid contact with infected animals

● use insect repellent 

Treatment for monkey fever:-

There is no specific treatment for KFD. 

Management of disease includes early hospitalisation.

Maintaining proper hydration and taking precautions for patients with bleeding disorders.
